I spent over 40 years as a psychotherapist in private practice here in Palm Beach County.

Upon retiring, I was given an old DJI Phantom 2 drone and fell in love with piloting unmanned aerial craft.  I went from flying for fun and filming my grandson's soccer games to becoming an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot.

First, I flew my drone over my barrel tile roof and found 15 broken tiles.  I inspected a few neighbors' roofs and offered my services to other community residents.  

Many of the homes in my community are getting their roofs replaced.  Roof replacement is expensive, and commonly,  homeowners who did not have leaks but got recommendations that their roofs be replaced wondered if the whole roof needed replacement or just a few minor repairs.

     * While my drone cannot see the deterioration of the tar paper or wood under the roof tile, it can record broken or missing tiles that could speed up your need for a significant repair.
